Handsome Stranger
The greatest animal I've known
has passed into the great unknown
I miss my pal so awfully much
I've lost the one I loved to touch
The feel of his fur, the deafening purr
are memories that will endure
His friendly mew, his charming ways
would brighten up the darkest days
When I would cry, he was right there
to share the wisdom in his stare
He was so wise, so all complete
he never would admit defeat
His soul shined such a wondrous light
it kept me warm through countless nights
"No soul in cats" that's what folks say
but I see things another way
I say that God is in those eyes
the cat is just a great disguise
A messenger from heaven above
a teacher of the ways of love
"You must make time for fun today"
is what the cat will always say
Sit in the sun and have a ball
I do it, even though I'm small
Take time to rest, then run and play
and cuddle up at the end of the day
Be close... heck I'll sit in your lap
Forget about the useless crap
For life is short, with too few years
to be sad and full of fears
It's what God wanted us to see
so he made cats for you and me

Major Revelation from a Kindred Soul
What am incredible revelation today. I had a call come in from a dear old friend. She was in tears. She hadn't eaten in days and the food stamp folks were giving her problems.
So she created a disturbance at the food stamp office and they retaliated by auditing her file.
She had been totally honest with them but was imagining all sorts of ugly scenarios. They were all completely in her imagination of course. She had nothing to worry about, she simply needed to let the heat of the situation cool and provide them with some additional paperwork.
Here is the lesson. In actuality she had way more money at her access in bank accounts than I do. She owes nothing in debt and I have credit card debt. In truth, at this particular point in time, she is wealthier than I am.
Yet she decided not to eat and put herself into a hungry state of being. She felt like everyone and everything was out to get her. She wouldn't spend the money she had available as close as her bank on food. She also was angry for life putting her in this position of hunger.
I blessed her and sent her light, love and healing. It was plain she was in exactly the place she wanted to be. She didn't realize the cage was of her own making. It would have been futile to try and explain it to her.
All of us do that, although not quite so blatantly. We deliberately deprive ourselves of experiences and then blame the situations in life for what we decide to do or not do.
Think about it, what is keeping you from what you want to experience. You want to skydive? Go do it.
What keeps you. Too expensive? You won't feel that way when a root canal is necessary. What's more important, the experience of a lifetime or a tooth repair. It's your decision.
Either way is great. Just remember, you are the one deciding. Never blame life or finances for your decision.
