2,000-year-old date seed grows in the Arava

Wow..........

2,000-year-old date seed grows in the Arava

By Ofri Ilani

The wind ruffles the leaves of the date sapling in its planter, and Dr. Elaine Soloway quickly shields it. "There's only one plant like this in the world, and I'm still worried about it," she says. Methuselah - that is the sapling's name - is indeed unique. In 2005, Soloway, from Kibbutz Ketura in the Arava, germinated it from a 2,000-year-old date seed found at Masada.

For the past two millennia, since approximately the time of the Great Revolt of the Jews against the Romans, in 66-73 C.E., the seed lay dormant,

"The Secret" is the subject of Oprah today....

Good Day

Many of you folks are excited about Oprah's show on 'The Secret' today. So I wanted to make a mention here for those who may not be aware of it.

What is The Secret?

It's a movie about the Law of Attraction which I teach about in my coaching and writing.

Some books and writings about the Law of Attraction put business folks off and seem to "woo woo" for them.

I recommend that they watch the DVD "The Secret" with Bob Proctor, Joe Vitale, the author of the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" books, and many other names that business folks can relate to.

It gives a great overview of the concepts without going too much into channeling,
spirit entities, and other stuff that can close down some folks minds.

The credentials and recognizability of the speakers helps it to reverberate with almost any businessperson.

I find that for many of the folks I work with it is an easy way to teach the all important law of attraction in an hour and a half video.

So if you watch TV, check out Oprah today. I don't own a TV myself, but that is another story...

If I Had My Life To Live Over - By Erma Bombeck

This amazingly inspiring story was written by Erma Bombeck after discovery of her terminal cancer

Enjoy

Ed Osworth

If I Had My Life To Live Over

I would have talked less and listened more. I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained and the sofa faded.

I would have eaten the popcorn in the "GOOD" living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.

I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.

I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.

I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.

I would have sat on the lawn with my children and not worried about grass stains.

I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life.

I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.

I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment realizing that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.

When my kids kissed me impetuously, would never have said, "Later, now go get washed up for dinner." There would have been more "I love you's" ... more "I'm sorry's" ... but mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute ... look at it and really see it ... live it .. and never give it back.

Inspiring Quote from Mother Teresa

We forget that forgiveness is greater than revenge. People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes. But the actions we take while in a rage will haunt us forever.

Pause and ponder. Think before you act. Be patient. Forgive & forget. Love one and all.

If you judge people, you have no time to love them. -- Mother Teresa"

Why is There so much Pain and Hurt? Read This Miraculous Story - The Little Soul & The Sun

Sisters and Brothers

One of the questions I receive the most is that "If things are so joyous and delightful and we are all made of light, then why is there so much pain and suffering on this planet?"

I explain about not judging what you see and accepting that we are all here experiencing all sorts of things, including some stuff that looks really terrible. But it is s a very difficult thing to explain.

Last night I located a story that was written apparently for kids. Yet I have never found a better explanation of lots of these painful things that turn us away from the light.

It is called The Little Soul & The Sun and if you click the title of this post - you can read the whole thing.

Miracle Movie Review - The Truman Show (True Man)

Hi

Wanted to tell you about a movie that I consider to be one of the greatest Law of Attraction movies made.

The Truman Show with Jim Carey (in a non comedic role and in my opinion his best performance)

It was created by Peter Weir who made the unforgettable "spirit" movies "Walkabout" and "The Last Wave" early in his career.

What makes this different than most Law of Attraction movies is that it shows how we must always be aware of the influences of media, schooling, our friends and mass consciousness in general if we are to manifest the life we desire. It clearly shows how mass consciousness is geared to inform us of and reinforce "our limitations".

There is even a scene with those exact words when the young Truman is climbing a small hill and his "dad" cries out "stop, remember your limitations".

The movie was not a hit, as audiences were expecting a funny comedy, and it is not that at all. The true theme and message of this wonderful movie goes right over most folks heads, but most reading my blog will pick it up instantly.

It also shows, in a very poignant scene, how our emotional reactions can be manipulated to get us totally off track. It is the scene with Truman's father's return - a scene that bombards you with many conflicting emotions at once - I have never quite experienced anything like it in a movie.

When the end comes - those who understand manifestation and abundance will be cheering and amazed at the incredible message and deep meaning of it all.
